Sorry everybody - midterms have ruled my life for the past few days.
Day 5, Wednesday February 22: "Happy birthday!" It was one of my roommates birthdays and we had fun having cake with our Family Home Evening family.
Day 6, Thursday February 23: "Truth or dare?" There was a truth or dare game that went down among four of my roommates (I watched) and the end result included one of them having her face covered in lipstick, another wrapped in grocery bags like a present, another running around outside yelling like a bird, and another running around our building with a "Y" flag draped around her like a cape. It was great fun to watch. :]
Day 7, Friday February 24: [our Biology professor was talking about recessive genes]
Professor: "So if you married her..."
Student with surprise in his face: "She's my sister..."
[laughter from the class and professor; laughter dies off]
Student across the room: "Awkward..."
It was the most hilarious biology class I have ever gone to. It was great. And yes, also awkward, but nevertheless, it was hilarious.
Good luck to all of you that are taking mid-terms! And those of you who are not (you lucky people...), have an awesome day and a wonderful weekend!

Day "Fore"
No, the quote today does not have anything to do with golf...
"I tend to over simplify or over complicate things. There is no happy medium." -Friend from Biology class
Too true, my friend. Too true. Especially biology when you are trying to figure out things in the first place and not mess up and fail during a test. We were at a review for two hours and we were keeping each other awake. I have no idea what it is about the MARB and me between the hours of four and five.I just start to fall asleep. I have not as of yet, but there is still half of a semester to go...
Anyway - props to my friend for summing up almost every student's mood at one point or another. We either make it too hard or too easy. There is rarely - if ever - a happy medium.

Day Three
"There are three types of kissing - peaches, plums, and ALFALFA." -Ky's ski instructor.
Yep. Ky has interesting ski instructors. And she says this. At least once a day. With awesome facial expressions. It's great and hilarious. It's the best I've got today, guys. A lot happened today, but it is all other people's stories and not so much one liner quotes.

Day Two
"Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says, 'I'll try again tomorrow'." President Thomas S. Monson
This quote is so true and pretty much self-explanatory. I love it because of its' truth. Courage is sometimes recognized (like the Stripling Warriors), but in many cases, the small forms of courage - like this case - are unnoticed and are the hardest forms of courage to uphold.

So here is to day one.
I've been meaning to make this blog for a while. I had the idea last semester when my American Heritage professor would say hilarious things each lecture. It was fun. Anyway, I finally made this blog out of that desire. Lately, it has been little things like funny or inspirational quotes that have kept me going - or, at least helped me keep going.
So the first quote of this blog is from my sister. Our mantra this year for us is:
I especially support the second half. We do hard things and we keep going. If something gets in our way of a goal, we "keep moving forward" (Walt Disney, or Meet the Robinson's - this is my quote for right now) and do what we can to get through it. It may take some hard work, but that is what life is. We work hard for what we do and what we want and that - hopefully - get to where you want to be in life. Whether that be graduated from college, married, a Mary Kay national sales director, a professional musician, or just an all around good person, you still work for that goal and push forward through the hard stuff because it is through that hard stuff where you learn the most about your situation and, more importantly, yourself.

"Just roll the Playdough and sometimes we do hard things."
